Pembroke London & Pembroke North Humanities Timetable(OxNet) 2017-18
The Humanities course lasts from January to August and comprises a 6-week seminar series (run locally in London and Manchester), an Easter conference (held in alternate years between London and Manchester) and a residential summer school (held in Oxford), throughout which students engage in a range of Humanities disciplines, including history, philosophy, politics and literature.
The courses are intensive but provide an excellent introduction to the Oxbridge approach to academic study and the learning environment of competitive universities. The programme is open to all Year 12 state-school students across Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Hackney, and the West London Tri-Borough – with priority given to students who fulfil widening participation criteria. Admittance to the programme is based on a competitive application process including an online application form and a written, source-based task.
